Appointments to the Anti-Corruption Commission

His Excellency the Governor, Martyn Roper, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Sophia Harris as Chairman to the Anti-Corruption Commission (“the ACC”) for the remaining two years of her tenure. In addition His Excellency has also appointed Members Adrian “Gus” Pope and Simon Whicker. Mr. Pope and Mr. Whicker have each been appointed for terms of three years effective 15 and 24 August 2020 respectively.

                                                                                              

After serving for a period of four years the tenure of Chairman Richard Coles and Member Timothy Ridley, OBE came to an end in mid-August. Mr. Coles and Mr. Ridley were first appointed to the Commission following the commencement of the Anti-Corruption (Amendment) Law, 2016 wherein several public service officials appointed by virtue of their offices were no longer included in the membership of the Commission.
